Pathways to Improving and Supporting Memory and Critical Thinking

Pathways to Improving and Supporting Memory and Critical Thinking is a program designed for people who feel that their memory and processing speeds are weak or have been over-taxed and they need a way to let go of the effects of stress, restore cognitive skills, and reorganize themselves. The program is designed to help students who suddenly find they cannot keep up with their course work, professionals experiencing mental fatigue or burn-out, and seniors. It can be delivered in-person or online.

Program Description:

An intake assessment of skills is completed for designing a specific course of action. A post- assessment is given upon completion and results are discussed with the client. Sessions can include listening therapy, sensory-motor exercises, and activities that improve cognitive skills and critical thinking.

Meet Jessica

It is my belief that human beings are designed to discover truth and embrace that which is good as they pursue happiness. This requires that we must be able to perceive our relationships and environments accurately, reason aptly, and respond rightly to the challenges we face. The ability to do so successfully is dependent upon our sensory-motor system, cognitive abilities, resilience, and moral character. As a cognitive development practitioner, I am committed to helping my clients integrate their sensory-motor system, build their cognitive abilities, and develop the resilience they need for purpose-filled growth during their pursuit of happiness.

It has been a privilege for me to work with a diverse population of people. This includes one-on-one cognitive development sessions as well as creating and implementing an early intervention reading program for at-risk children, coaching adults in the areas of motivation and resilience, and preparing and presenting brain health workshops designed to improve memory skills for seniors.

My classroom experience includes teaching in a mixed grade classroom and writing courses and lesson plans for PK-12 grades using an American Classical, Concept-Based approach that develops cognitive skills and critical thinking. In addition to a Master of Education focused on Human Development and Cognitive Psychology, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and am certified to teach Psychology. The continuing education I have received includes licensing and certificates in the areas of cognitive development and neuroeducation that include a therapeutic application of both.
